Go to Mission/Vision

In the Fall of 2006 ICEF launched two new schools employing the same educational model presently bringing success to underserved students in the Crenshaw district of South Los Angeles.

Mrs. Karen Anderson and Mr. Greg Hill will serve as the first Directors of the Frederick Douglass Academy Charter Middle School and High School, respectively. Both bring several years of educational and entrepreneurial experience alongside a longstanding commitment to South Los Angeles to their new positions.

The new FDA Charter schools will operate by applying the same rigorous college-prep curriculum, high expectations, and mandated parent involvement that made View Park Prep’s 96% African American student population the highest performing in South Los Angeles at the elementary, middle and high school levels.
